Opera Orlando is seeking talented young artists for two of its upcoming productions. The Opera Orlando Youth Company is collaborating with the Florida State Youth Orchestra and the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida for a special performance on November 5 in the Rosen Jewish Community Center of “Brundibar,” an opera composed and originally performed by teenagers imprisoned in the Terezin Concentration Camp during World War II. “Vedem,” a song-cycle composed by Lori Laitman to secret poems written by Terezin’s teenaged boys, will also be performed. The company will once again perform Gian Carlo Menotti’s beloved Christmas Opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors” throughout Central Florida in December, highlighted by three Dr. Phillips Center productions on December 9-10 and a December 20 performance at Gaylord Palms.

There are no auditions for PRINCIPAL ARTISTS/GUEST ARTISTS scheduled at this time.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED PLEASE SEND YOUR INFO AND MATERIALS to auditions@operaorlando.org
