Performances are March 24th and 25th at 7:30pm and March 26th at 2pm at the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center

Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” is for many the finest opera of all time. It’s brilliant tapestry of comedy and tragedy woven into the composer’s sublime score set it apart from all works of art. The story, based upon the Don Juan legend, focuses on a brutal and sexually insatiable aristocrat from old world Europe. But what happens when this ancient “monster” comes back to fully-fleshed-out-life in today’s world? Exactly what Opera Orlando has in store for us on March 24-26 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. “Don Juan Goes to College” in this production which offers relevant reflections of contemporary issues that are making headlines in 2017. Opera Orlando’s Gabriel Preisser will assume the title role joined by a roster of nationally-renowned principals along with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orlando Ballet.
