Opera Orlando is the region's leading Opera Company. The good news is that internship days and hours are flexible (15 hours per week). The not so good news is that Interns are not paid a wage; sorry, we work with a shoestring budget. That said, we feel strongly that our Interns gain unique experiences, enhance their career opportunities, expand their view of the world, and find inspiration!

2017-18 Internship Opportunities
Title: Development Assistant
Start/End Date: September 15, 2017 - June 8, 2018
Description: Working hand in hand with the Opera Orlando Development Team, the development assistant will become integrated in the day to day fundraising activities of Opera Orlando and help with both short term and long term projects. Internship can be by semester or for the whole year/season.
Operations: Social Media - Assistant Crowd Funding Content Producer, Volunteer Research Lead, Research & Development Specialist, Fundraising Data Management
Qualifications: Enrolled in College
Title: Production Assistant
Start/End Date: October 30th - December 20th
Description: The Production Assistant assists and supports the productions within the assigned period of time. Duties for the position can vary from stage management responsibilities and assistance, to props procurement and show run, to deck crew, to scenic carpentry and painting assistance. The production assistant reports directly to the Production Manager, but might also be assigned direct supervision by other contracted production staff on a case by case basis. Exact role and responsibilities will be negotiated based on candidate’s experience.
Operations: Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director. Assistant Stage Manager, Props Master, Assistant to Production Manager for La Bohème, and Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Qualifications: High School degree, pursuing or completed Bachelor Degree. Experience in theatre preferred.
Compensation: Up to $500 depending on job responsibilities assigned
