Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. Revel in the bliss and misery of marriage as the six ill-fated queens of the second Tudor king share their experiences of matrimony and acrimony.

This original work about the 6 wives of Henry VIII expands the song cycle Try Me, Good King by Libby Larsen, with original monologues, madrigals, and other music to give voice to Henry’s dead wives. The result is an atmospheric snapshot into the unique lives of history’s most famous wives. The Critic’s Choice winner for Best Musical at the 2019 Orlando International Fringe Festival, 6 of VIII features The Helena Collective and will be presented at Casa Feliz.

Amahl and the Night Visitors transports audiences to a time when generosity of spirit ruled the day in this perfect holiday treat for the entire family. The first opera ever written for television in 1951, this classic tale of a precocious crippled shepherd boy and his mother who are visited by the Three Kings on their mission to behold the Christ-child fares even better on stage.

Meet the cast after the performance and enjoy a post-performance holiday reception.

The Very Last Green Thing features the Opera Orlando Youth Company and tackles some timely issues. Journey to a classroom in the year 2413 where a group of students is raised and taught by an android. On a rare field trip “outside,” a shy and obedient child named Amy unexpectedly discovers the very last green thing on Earth. Soon she must confront the truth and make important choices as the secrets of the past are uncovered.

With libretto and music by Cary John Franklin and Michael Patrick Albano, The Very Last Green Thing uses the medium of opera to encourage young people to think about their environment, their role in protecting that environment, and how their actions today affect the world of tomorrow.
