studio artists program
The Opera Orlando Studio Artists program is where emerging singers gain the experience, training, and performance opportunities needed to launch their professional careers. Studio Artists spend a full season in residence — covering MainStage roles, performing alongside principals, working with guest artists in masterclass settings, and receiving training in acting, movement, and vocal technique. Beyond the stage, Studio Artists engage directly with the Central Florida community through in-school programs, retirement center concerts, and outreach events across the region.
Opera Orlando is currently accepting applications for its 2027-28 Studio Artists program. The season will run from September 2027 through May 2028 and will include works by Mozart, Offenbach, and Gounod.
Complete applications and all materials are due by November 2, 2026. There is no fee to apply. Finalists will be shortlisted and notified via email to schedule an additional in-person audition/interview to be scheduled in December.

principal & comprimario auditions
Opera Orlando will next host in-person auditions December 17-19, 2026 for all artists qualified and interested in being considered for principal or comprimario roles in the 2027-28 season, which runs from September 2027 through May 2028 and will include works by Mozart, Offenbach, and Gounod.
Audition applications will be available here starting August 2026. Applications will close on November 2, 2026. Each submission will then be pre-screened, and successful candidates will be invited to audition in person. At that time you will be to confirm an audition day and time.
There is no fee to apply, and a pianist will be provided for all auditions. Travel and accommodations will not be provided. That is the responsibility of the artist.

chorus auditions
Opera Orlando will be hosting in-person auditions March 10-12, 2027 to consider local Central Florida artists for the 2027-28 season, which runs from September 2027 through May 2028. These auditions are primarily to build the choruses for the season productions and projects, but there may be additional casting opportunities at that time.
Audition applications will be available here starting January 2027. Everyone interested in working with the Opera next season must submit their materials, regardless of their past involvement with the Company. Each submission will be pre-screened, and you will be notified if we need to hear you in person. At that time you will be to confirm an audition day and time.
