Opera Orlando’s Opera on the Town series features original productions throughout the City Beautiful. This season enjoy Verdi's uproarious comedy King for a Day at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando and take in Lizzie Borden's side of the story in Lizbeth at Harriett's Orlando Ballet Centre.

Lizbeth is a contemporary work exploring the life of accused axe-murderer Lizzie Borden from her perspective. This production is led by stage director Eve Summer and conductor Noam Aviel.

Enjoy this immersive, site-specific production of Verdi’s comedic King for a Day (Un Giorno di Regno) featuring Metropolitan Opera soprano Kirsten Chambers and Grammy Award-winning baritone Gabriel Preisser with Keith Chambers returning to Opera Orlando as conductor and musical director. Enjoy this wedding day gone wrong in the Venetian Ballroom (pictured here) at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel with food, drink, and parking included in the ticket price.
